Tips for your session

The following is some information that can make your photo experience more enjoyable:

  • If you have young children who are being photographed, don't stress out over the little things, also feel free to bring anything that will keep them happy (such as snacks, juice, favorite toy, etc.) I’m a mom, I get it kids just have rough days sometimes.

  • Moms remember to remove unwanted or chipped polish from little fingers and toes.

  • Please keep the weather in mind. If it is hot out, you might want to bring a water bottle; if it’s cold, maybe bring a jacket for between shots or a blanket to wrap yourself or your little ones in. Plus this can always serve as a prop or a clean place to sit.

  • Props are welcomed in any photoshoot (I’ve had people bring sunglasses, hats, bicycles, signs, dogs, and even horses!). Please let me know what you plan to bring.

  • If you are planning a wardrobe change, remember that it may need to be done in the car because many locations are in remote areas.

  • When coordinating your outfits, stay in the same color family, simple prints, neutrals are always flattering.

  • Remember to set your phone to silent or leave it in your car, you won’t need it I promise. Your going to be snuggling and playing with your children and your spouse and won’t want to interrupt these beautiful moments.

  • Start talking to your spouse and kiddos days before the session, tell them what the plan is so their prepared for the day of and what is expected of them.
